So I listened to the whole album and officially hate Tim Skold now. Some of the songs are really good, but then his fucking hair metal guitar solo starts up and destroys the whole thing with 30 seconds of lameness. It's intensely weird. I love a good guitar solo, but not in every song and not when they seem like someone just showing off and it barely fits in the song. Manson must of been too drunk to notice or something. This album is very different, it's sounds closest to early Manson than anything else (lots of guitars!). None of the songs really suck, but there are a few ruined by Skold's shit solos and/or some poor production/mixing. It's definitely not one of his better albums in my opinion, a few of the songs are really good. Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.

So I've listened to the album a few more times and it's definitely grown on me. Skold's guitar solos still annoy the fuck out of me almost every single time, but they actually do work in a few of the songs and his non-solo guitar work is great. I definitely hear the brit indie rock thing going on in some of the songs too it's very fucking strange. Playing some of these songs loud with the windows down is a good way to get dirty looks from old ladies cuz they sound so dirty. It's like you either get unhappy heartbroken manson or swaggering rock star manson. Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.

Wow that was so terrible. I tried to sit through it and I failed. I think there were about 2 minutes left before I audibly said "this fucking sucks" with no one around to hear me :(

the sound of that song in the last video posted reminds me of orgy. thats if orgy sucked, and decided to make a video consisting on a minute and a half of them fucking there girlfriends so they seem "edgy"
