I have been out of high school for sometime, i guess for you not having any friends you would not understand what it would be like having one of your closest friends do this to you. And this is why i posted this in the private section so i could get so help. Unlike some people friendship means a lot to me and i do like having lots of friends, and don't like loseing one to a bitch. I understand the heart ache of losing a close friend. The situation sounded very much like something in high school. I guess I should not have been so dismissive. BTW, I have friends and close friends, but I know you are upset, so I will let it slide. My only advice would be to talk to your buddy and get a clear understanding of what happened. I let him know my feelings of him with my ex, and allow him to state his case. If you can not come to some sort of understanding, it may be time to take some time apart. Clearly your buddy has some mistrust or jealousy issues and those need to be addressed or move on. Just because you may not have changed, your friend may have and your relationship surely has. Get yourself together and thoughts collected, have a beer with your bud and get things aired out, and be prepared to take time away if necessary. It can be a week, months, sometimes years. Just make sure you are honest with yourself and honest with him. I am sure there is more to the story than we know as it seems a bit bizzare for him to come at you out of the clear blue. For all you know, the girl could be working you both. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Shig,
Sometimes positive feelings like compassion are not a 2- way street. You sound like your heart is in the right place but does your friend share your feeling of dread at potentially losing a a good friend? He may have no clue and hasn't even begun to fathom that you are upset at what has happened. The only way to find out is through positive communication. If you 2 are as close as you say then have a friendly talk. I know with my guy friends that it is a hell of alot easier to talk openly when we are working on something together or playing a sport or fishing ect. away from outside influences. From there knowledge will be power and you will have your answers. Then if he does not share the same compassion then let it be and leave it be. People change and your friend may see it later and then at that point you can become better friends in time. Just a suggestion......

I don't know what to say. You have to ask yourself is he really your friend? My friends would never back stab me in any way. Fear the ING! -[Mr.]MaMa-*Bluecell*- -running -varmint

shit happens. some people just aren't worth the effort. sounds like this may be one of those cases. i'd say step back and remove yourself from this, let the friend make whatever mistakes he's going to make with the ex and basically just wait for him to come around. if you become too involved over this you may do irreversable damage to the friendship. let him sort himself out and come to you, if that ever happens. yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.
