As far as the legalities, name or not it's always going to be a derivative work of the original dust, and thus technically could be shut down for violation no matter what.  Practically though, it's unlikely they'd do that because

a) Valve owns all the CS stuff.
b) This map was made to play in another Valve game.
c) We're not making any money off it.

Therefore it'd almost be more hassle than it's worth for them to shut it down.  All that changes of course if they were planning to release a for-pay "CS Maps for TF!" expansion or something, but barring that, there's no reason they should care.

--------------

And as far as testing, I aim to have it up tonight, I'm just putting final touches on and fixing bugs.

Valve seems to have a history of being very supportive of mappers. I seriously doubt they'd take offense to this.

that looks fucking awesome endyss, good job man

Formally known as MrT
The film "Brokeback Mountain" was originally pitched as an off-beat romance starring MrT and WhutDuFuk. The sole reason the two legends declined the starring roles is because if MrT and WhutDuFuk were to kiss, there would be new meaning to the word homosexual...it would mean "obligation".

It plays pretty well, too.

And yeah, I would have never thought that lawyers had the free time to not only play TF2 and play it well, but also to learn how to make maps for TF2. Honestly I thought lawyers spent all day reading law books, looking over evidence, and writing long speeches.

Some of the walls are just way too bright : /
Less med packs? or at least get rid of the one near the CP.

Overall it's nice. I still get the feeling that red team has more advantage over blue team.

Dust2 for your next map :O never did like original dust

I think the BLU team has some advantage. When I was on the BLU team on this map a couple nights ago, we constantly won. Hm.

It looks pretty pretty, but I agree that some walls are a tad too bright.

What I really like about this map, unlike the other Arena maps, is that the map can be played vertically as well as on the ground. The roofs are very accessible and filled with health packs, so playing soldier is a lot of fun.
