I don't consider idleing to overcome Valve's ridiculous drop system while I'm at work cheating. Regardless I give Valve a big fuck you and guarantee that I will find a new solution as soon as it's available to me.

You know this whole situation is just showing that the 4.5% of people that own tf2, that idled, clearly don't fit the rating for the game (its rated M for Mature). I know people are upset about losing their stuff, but oh well. You knew what you were doing, a few months ago Erik Johnson said that he considered Idling cheating. Yeah, they didn't give you a warning, but who asked valve if it was ok to make an external program to get hats? While people are just playing to get hats. Valve decided it was cheap, and did something about it. If they had just said "stop idling" nobody would have believed them, so they did something, they took away the hats that people got by getting around the system.

People didn't like the system.

They went around the system, instead of waiting for valve to fix it.

Valve decided they didn't want people going around the system.

People lost....wait for it....some hats.

That is all, its just a hat, I know people that play all the time that don't have hats, they have reason to be upset, people that found a way around the system, don't. I use to idle, but then i decided I rather get a hat the legit way, so it means something, I lost some items, didn't get a halo, but I'm not freaking out over it. People that are making anit-valve groups, or "don't heal halo's" groups, are just being immature about the situation.

Then you are just proving to valve that you aren't going to learn your lesson. They are saying they don't want people to idle, and they just want people to play the game, and that is it. They didn't delete any accounts, just some hats. I wouldn't try to get around it, because I know valve is pretty smart, and if you really wanna get around it, then they will find away to punish you again.

Negative, Valve doesn't want 3rd party programs messing with steam.

Also, Erik Johnson was not clear on what kind of idling. 3rd party program (Idling program) v.s. In-game server achievement_idle (Not external, legit).

Also, Valve and steam just now added the rule of no 3rd party program YESTERDAY. Rule is in effect today, those that broke the rules before the rule was put into place are now going to be punished? I can't change my ways? I don't get a second chances? I didn't even idle for a hat that I want, I'm actually glad you took it away from me. Now I'm being flagged as a cheater while everyone who didn't idle get to rub it in because they got a hat for no reason? Im sorry but you didn't find that hat legit, valve gave it to you cause you didn't idle, don't feel all high and might cause you have a hat now.

I don't care if my items we're taken away, I never use them besides the medic ones but I got to KEEP a blutsauger.

There are MANY other things that valve has to target (like fake client mod) first.

The hat rate hasn't increased GREATLY as they say. Previous it's still a 4 hour+ for a ~~1% (Aprox.) Now it's STILL 4 hour+ for a ~~3%.

Lastly, Caps is cool. Also, don't take my words literally, notmad, I don't care for it all, it just feels un-just for something that everyone else feels like justice has been served.
