Sanguinius killed Horus, did he not? Erebus was a word bearer, I am assuming he killed sanguinius and thats why blood angels hate word bearers so much? - I just started reading the Horus Heresy series a week ago. But I read the blood angels omnibus and it gave alot away. Quote:

No no no, Sanquinius was killed BY Horus, he presumable lost because he was kicking the shit of blood thirsters and chaos legions for three days straight during the siege of terra. He was able to open up a chink in his armor which again is presumably why the emperor was able to kill horus, others claim he was holding back because horus was his most favored son but when horus flays a terminator just by glancing at it, the emperor hits him with a MEGA-RAPE psychic blast that destroyed not only his physical body but his very life essence and it made all 4 chaos gods recoil in fear. Erebus is actually a chaplain of the word bearers that's all I can say without spoiling future books In an hour of Darkness a blind man is the best guide. In an age of Insanity look to the madman to lead the way.

Sanguinus was also a somewhat '" seer " so went to the fight knowing his outcome. Horus was the traitorous bitch who turned on his father and brothers for the promises of false idols. Weak sauce I'd say.
So yea, Sanguinus kicked ass, spoiled the invasion, and gave the Emporer the time he needed to get to the battle barge and own on Horus.
All my knowledge comes from 2nd Edition Codices and general fluff. Haven't read any of the recent splurge of novels that have come about cause of the comp games.
And Giller....your knowledge, so weak...might have to return to trusting Gunslinger for 40k info...oh the agony....

*Cry* Well i just started reading all the lore type crap recently. And like i said, I just started the horus heresy series like a week ago. So right now where I am at Horus is still a good guy, and the luna wolves are still fighting as an expeditionary force for the crusade. Previous to this I had read the Dawn of war (blood ravens) omnibus, and the Blood angels omnibus. Quote:
