I will be in SoCal for a specialized training course for my profession next month which means I will be partaking in some glorious In-N-Out Burger. You have no idea how happy this makes me! :) Just thought I'd share the wonderful news! (you really have no idea how much Giller and I miss eating here... he is really jealous of me right now!)

The last time I was in So Cal surfing, the national fast food chains had just been making inroads. I'd agree that the regional fast-food franchises and even more the local eateries are a step above what the rest of the country is eating for fast food; still, it is a burger joint.

Yeah, it's "just" a burger joint but there are burger joints that know how to make a burger stand above other burgers and this is one of them. Some people know how to cook with love which makes it special. :)

I live two blocks from each of two In-N-Outs, I work in two locations, one of which is across the street from an In-N-Out, the other being just down the street.

Also, a coworker of mine is full time at an In-N-Out. She smells like Double-Double sometimes. It's awesome.

Just keep this in mind when you chow down when you get here Mrs. Giller :]

PS, which location will you be visiting?

yea, what part of SoCal you visiting? I'll agree that InNOut is good, but nothing special. I'll take something from Carls Jr. Over INNOUT 9 out of 10 times.

Virus, your forum avatar is too incredibly wide, I know mines kind of big, but yours is huge! It must be at least over 9000 millimeters wide!

Oh, and I've never been to In-N-Out. I heard their menu's super small though. But they have secret menu items or something?

I am frankly astounded at the lack of enthusiasm for In N Out in this thread. It's revered almost throughout the state, and definitely across the country, much more so than those shitty little hole in the wall burger holes like White Castle. In N Out tastes absolutely amazing.

I dunno, the Foster's Freezes where I live are all kind of scary and run down down, and in bad neighborhoods. Still the other 2, I agree with. Just make sure you are going to Tommy's and NOT Tommies', which is a terrible knockoff of the original.

God. Anyone had a bean burger before? It's basically a double cheese burger with refried beans and fritos. Fucking incredible.

Introducing a smaller, more useful avatar; like In-N-Out's menu.
