GL man. Are you going camping with supplies/tent and everything with you? or are you gonna try and survive/make shelter/get food by yourselves? Ive always wanted to see how long I could go by myself in the wilderness.  AKA Shinobi Quote:Kick some giga-butt

Going out with a tarp, pad, arctic sleeping bag... my pack, some clothes. Couple weeks worth of food.. some rope.... knife... and my bow-drill set (for making fire... I'll bring a camera so you guys can see me make fire with sticks. Cup, fork, spoon... Probably a journal to write in.
Maybe some other crap.. but that's the jist of it

I bet it'd be hard, modern civilization has destroyed the vast majority this world's natural eco-systems. Most forests we see today are the result of monoculture farming, where forests are grown with just one or a limited handful of different tree and plant species, being a very limited eco-system if one at all. Even state and national parks are kinda gay. Frankly there just aren't many forests with enough recources to support a true back to nature lifestyle.

Now thats the real way to camp
no $500 tent
no mobile home/camper
no lighter fluid or any such cheap way to make fire
no AC or Heater
all you need is a fishing pole and a trap to catch your own food

Totally, I want to see videos on the interweb of what you two did I think I could last a long time in the woods if I had a dog with me and it wasn't cold. I moved "up here" to GA 2 years ago and can't stand it :P Yep. Good luck lighting the sticks, I never managed to do that. I saw a show on Discovery the other day where this survival expert or whatev made a trap out of sticks and a fishing hook out of a spring. boo-ya Crappy

Good point. The only viable means for food would really be hunting in an area dense with animals. Which would make it 100x harder since you wouldnt have a gun. EDIT: There is still mushrooms around, but wild berries arent really out there. To eat the mushrooms and not get poisoned you would really have to spend a shitload of time in botanical classes. I recomend bringing a tent and a lighter if you're going on a 3 week camping trip. Don't be a faggot.
Unless if you think you'll run into some Amazon women who will be so impressed by your brute outdoorsiness that they'll jump down from a tree and make you have wild animal sex until you become more sore penis than man.

Meh, a nice tarp would be fine IMO, just set it up right. And as for the lighter, I'd probably take one and use it only if I HAD to. It does take away from the manliness though. A hatchet could be useful AKA Shinobi Quote:Kick some giga-butt
