I finally found a decent mod that includes support for plugins, and got a plugin to give some more flexibility on the server. Pros: - Lava no longer starts fires (still hurts mobs/players) >_> - Creepers still blow up players, but no longer destroy terrain/blocks Cons: Perpetual fires seem to have stopped working and I don't know why. It's not a setting, so it must be a side-effect of the mod or plugin in general. That means the world is no longer on fire, but we have tree pieces everywhere. It also means that if you had controlled, perpetual fires... they're gone. Hopefully I can figure out how to get that working again. It also supports a bunch of other things we can look into in the future. With Creeper terrain damage gone I cleaned up the spawn area a bit, too... filling in some holes.

Ok, I guess I'll check it out, but first which version are we working on, the beta or classic? Also if someone can let me know the IP of our server I would appreciate it.

Awesome. I got this last week to curb TF2/Mass Effect withdrawal and have been playing a bit with some guys in my hall. Could someone PM/email/snail-mail/telepathically communicate the IP address, please?

You got to remove that creeper thing , they are part of the game and it should be still a threat .. You know the whole point to survival and all.. it doesn't change the fact that most people think Jews are much like the Ferengi of Star Trek. More interested in acquiring "profits" than anything else. -Erkdog
Shut the fuck up Frostbite, I know what i am doing i been playing TF2 for 8 fucking years i know how to run my damn servers-Erkdog

With Crawdad as a guinea pig I figured out the shitty login times/connection timeouts are due to this call being run: http://www.minecraft.net/game/checkserver.jsp (not compete, but that's the script) It either takes forever to respond or crashes with a Java error. Glad I noticed this since I rolled all the way back to a basic install and was still having a hell of a time logging in. Hopefully the creator will get his centralized system working a bit better soon...

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/pdsminecraftThought this might be nice, we could use it for voice chat or other things. Or at least having a list of all the people who play on the server.
