You do realize that you would be paying $0 for the service thus not giving them any profit. In fact, it would cost them money. But if you feel honorable by not going thats your choice.

Secondly, I never pay for air, even at gas stations that charge for it. All you have to do is go inside and ask the guy to turn on the pump.
