Well this afternoon I was returning home from skiing in the mountains. I hit some black Ice and when the shit all finished, I ruined my fucking truck on the side of the road. So don't believe anyone when they tell you four wheel drive helps in the ice. Although I already knew four wheel drive won't help you in the ice, I still got fucked in the ass (with no lube mind you & it was realllllly dry). I now have a brand new truck ($37,000.00) totally fucked from hitting a goddamn aspen tree. Anyways, I had my digiital camera with me so I will post some pics tomorrow (I forgot the damn camera case at the body shop). Needless to say, if you see any spelling issues here, fuck off because I am drunk as hell drowning in my sorrows. I thought he wife was going to beat the shit out of me. Shit thats awful. I'll be thinking about you this weekend when we're ass deep in an ice storm (so they predict). Of course its more imporitant that you're all right, but i'm sorry your truck is damaged. get your ass to mars

I had chains with me but according to the signs they were not needed. The road was fine until I came around a curve and it was completely iced over. Trust me I use my chains if I know the road is bad. The problem is that the snow plows had not hit this area and there was not any gravel (kitty litter) thrown down in the area. A women in the vehicle in front of me went off the road flpped her car and was air lifted out. She got fucked up bad!!!! I was very lucky. If there had been a large branch hanging off the side I would not ever be fragging with you guys again. It scared the living piss out of me!
Dick - Yeah my plates are Texas, but since I am in the military I don't have to change them. I am currently in Montana where it was -21 wind chill today. What happened is terrible, I feel sorry for you bro. As long as you are fine, then nothing really to worry about.

Yes I have USAA. They have been awesome so far. When I got back to town with the tow truck my rental car was waiting out front for me. Anyways, yes it is a Titan and yes it hauls ass! It will rape the shit out of most sports cars (of course I'm not talking about a corvette etc...). Anyways I should have some pics later on today. I'm on the way to the doctor right now to get my neck checked out cause it's stiff as hell this morning. Who knows maybe I will get some good muscle relaxants. I found out that the rear axle was bent as well. The repair estimate so far is up to $13,000.00 +

at least your still here talking to us, sorry to hear about your truck. i had a bad experience with black ice last time i was up in Lake Tahoe in my parents suburban. lucky for me no other cars were around and we didn't hit anything, just skid about 150 feet (we were only going 15 mph with chains). that shit is scary and i'm glad to hear your ok. hope all works out for your truck.
