yay I passed I got my bike permit and I think I'm buying a suzuki gs500 it's used with only 500 miles on it but I plan on dropping it. a few times before I get the hang of being on 2 wheels the bf just bought a 07 ducati monster 695 it's perrrrty. anyone else ride? anyone have any helpful hints to a newb?   nottheballz: ask her if i will ever have sex again lol {pDs} Face: rosie nottheballz: na she stoped {pDs} Face: 2 timing bitch

a bunch of my buddies ride and they have been bugging me to get a bike and ride with them. i have always wanted to but i had to save my money to put myself through school. but now that i'm done, i'm trying to get a job. once i get a job, i will get a bike and ride with them. i'm probably going to start off with a ninja 250r because they are cheap and i love sports bikes and they are a great first bike. then once i get the hang of it i really really want a triumph 675 daytona
the best advice i can give you is to always dress for the fall, not the prom. wear your protective gear every time you go out, even if its just a short trip. if you cant spend 5 minutes to put your gear on before you ride, then its time to hang up the bike, because the next time you fall will be the last time you fall.

great advice llenta I'm currently in the market for a decent jacket. i'm looking at a joe rocket cleo 2.0 seems like good protection for the price.

lol, a friend of mine just got her license and she is about 5'2". she is having issues deciding on a bike that she can ride comfortably because she doesn't want to shave the seat. i think she is looking at the Honda CBR because the rear suspension can be dropped quite a bit without loosing your ability to corner. i don't have that problem because i'm a bit taller. my problem is that i'm a small built person, so i can't have a big bike because i don't weigh all that much. thats why i won't go larger then a 600 cc bike (or 675 cc for the triumph). even though the triumph is a larger displacement, its actually a smaller bike then the other 600cc because its a 3 cylinder instead of a 4.
