I mentioned the free trial of eve. I'm semi in charge of a corp (clan in eve). I'd like to extend an invite to any pdsers wanting to check it out. Sirus, Bloodhands, Indevidual, Homegrown, and Terminator play it. Just throwing it out there.

Ive been tempted to try EvE since the beta, even had a chance for the closed beta.... actually 2 chances for it. Unfortunately I didn't have my uber PC back then and my older PC would have major runs trying to run this game. Before I start my steam trial id like to know if this game is p2p. Monthly payments for playing a game = retarted. I buy I game I like to play it w/e the hell I want to without coughing up more cash to play it. Im also poor and a cheap fuck. With that said, with the move over to steam will this game be f2p or is it gonna keep its pos p2p thing? The game is pay to play. However, what separates this game from other pay to play mmos is that the game itself is free. You download the game and just pay the subscription. They release new expansions every six months or so, and unlike WoW for example, they too are free. Then you need to understand that the reason they charge is because you're playing on a server cluster with 30000 people or more at any given time. The bandwidth needed for that is expensive. 30000+ people. 5000 star systems. Imagine 200 on 200 fleet engagements. Yeah. Epic. Unlike other MMO's as well, there is only one server. Everyone plays on the same server. Epic.

Also, CCP allows you to actually pay for your subscription with in-game money earned if you can make enough. I'm not sure how yet, but I was reading about it. That's pretty awesome.

Hey, What's your corp name? My bf and I have a small two-man corp (Modest Aspirations; MDAP). We're happy with our setup and stuff, but don't know anyone in the game (we're pretty new, since Nov.
