Nah I'm back. After I got out of training, I had been saving up money to build a rig. Finally got my system together and have been playing TF2 with Xylicon, Fatalfury and a couple others.

Training was one big exercise in how much bullshit one can put up with. After going to Reserve status, I got bored...so I volunteered for deployment. I had been wanting to get back into the mix for quite a while, but money issues prevented me from finishing my system. Not wanting to derail this thread, it looks like the community is flourishing. New faces everywhere. What games do you guys usually play nowadays? How often do you guys get together?

Well good luck with that deployment thing.

We play TF2 here, and have 3 servers to support that. Other than that, some play EVE Online and then some play other various things. I don't play much of anything. TF2, and then some older titles like Empire Earth. Waiting for Left 4 Dead to come out. 4 player co-op vs. a world full of zombies! www.l4d.com

Great. I'll pop my head in the servers every so often to reintegrate myself into the clan.

Another thing I gotta add to my to-do list along with accumulating enough porn through bittorent to fill an external 500GB harddrive to take with me to Iraq, hehe.

Sounds like a lot of haters........sure, it's not the norm, but I like what one person said about this on a blog topic concerning this:

"There are still plenty of states that allow girls even younger than this one to couple/marry with parental consent. i don't know about the UK but in Canada the age of consent is fourteen. There was a time, not so long ago, when most girls of that age (and much younger) in North America and Europe would have been able to run a household and not only been considered "mature" enough to do so but encouraged to do so. There's no one to blame but yourselves, parents, if your own daughters are flighty and useless well into their teen years."

Frankly speaking, this goes for guy teens as well......parents are to blame for most teens to be fucking useless by 18......but that's another story.

Call me a pedophile all you want.....but my girlfriend is 19....and I didn't go "chasing" her, she "chased" me and after speaking to her several times, I determined "what the hell, she's legal, what do I have to lose to take her to dinner once?!?!" ..... thank goodness she isn't the normal "19" year old.....sure, she's half my age, but really, what is the problem?  If it works for us, and it's legal, why the hell does ANYONE have a problem with it?  Please, discuss......anxious to know......

I agree. Maturity and age do not necessarily go hand-in-hand. Many people would believe that the mere fact that this woman, given that she lived or still lives with her parents til graduating high school (assuming that she graduated), is half your age gives  them the idea that you're merely taking advantage of this girl who hasn't experienced enough life to know what she wants, and that might be true. On the other hand, she may be extremely mature for her age, knows exactly what she wants in life and you're right up her ally. In the first case, it's more of a moral conflict than anything.

You may have noticed that I based my conclusions from a few different assumptions. What it boils down to is that I cannot properly judge your situation without knowing things about you and her. People base their conclusions from minimal information, usually being incorrect in their analysis.

P.S. Thank Baby Jesus that somebody actually replied with a serious post.

And I am thankful someone replied with yet another "serious" post......

Very well stated (Maturity and age don't necessarily go hand-in-hand).....that has been my experience as well.  My GF has graduated high school and had begun college but due to family issues, she had to drop out....we both know she has a lot of life to live to shape her......but her actual maturity level is far above even my ex-wife in many respects.....we both can joke about the age difference, but folks who are adamant that I am morally corrupt are not responding out of anything but a "reaction" to something considered taboo.....(many say what they say due to their inability to see past their own blanket statements and shows the immaturity level on their part with regards to what is "right" and 'wrong" with something like this).......

GoOcH....look forward to your level headed posts (here or in other threads).....thanks for replying.

I was in {pDs} when it first started, or at least in its infancy years. I went by BoB-O for a while, ditched the name and realized (while watching Jackass) that gooch not only sounded better, but carried a deeper, more philosophical meaning. I played CS 1.6 on, well shit I forgot the clan's name now it's been so long.

Quit playing for a year to join the Army. Tried to play on my laptop during AIT, deemed a "no-go" situation due to WoW faggles soaking up the bandwidth

Assembled respectable rig, rejoining the community.

Batman Peppers!

I was wondering when you were going to get to this thread. Did you see the one after it where I grafted BPs face over the guy?
