Well, my luck, I find that the rear side of my car was dented in. It looks like there's a small amount of green paint that came off the other car. Only thing is is that I do not know who hit it. The only place this would have happened was in the school parking lot, but who knows how many cars come in and out through the day.

So basically am I out of luck, or is there anything I can do?

get CSI to run a microscopic analysis of the paint. they'll probably be able to tell you where the last place that sold that paint was and then it'll just be process of elimination (you're culprit was bound to have been the guy who resprayed his car last tuesday). if you're lucky they'll find blood or something mixed in with it and be able to identify the culprit by comparing it with the list of known criminals (they've all had a DNA sample taken at some point.)
yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

I was involved in a car crash today, well, I caused a car to plough into a wall.

Just use a tiny flashlight to look for clues.

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

it is about a 2' x 2' dent...I have never used those things that can pop out dents, so i do not know if that toool would work.

I guess its not so much as a dent but a small smash-in .. but I will have to try to pop it out sometime, its just aggravating after spending $3000 to fix it up and some retzard comes and hits-and-run.

You got off easy.  Recently some asshat nailed my car while it was parked in front of my own house, instead of getting out and going up to the house to trade insurance info, he decided that it would be a better idea to crowbar my window, steal everything, and then drive off.  Then insurance tried to nail me for a grand which is more than the cost of the repairs because they claim that even if it all happened exactly at the same time that the collision and the theft are two different cases and thus need two deductibles.  FUCK MERCURY!

Um.. where the hell were you this whole time? And what the hell were your neighbors doing? That's just an overall shitty situation, bro. You should get a german shepherd.

What good would a German Shepherd do?? You can't leave one in the car - they tend to need food/water/air - those basics.

Maybe a car alarm...those don't have those basic needs.

I guess I can consider myself lucky, its just the fact I just paid over $3000 to fix up the car, and the next day, some coward comes and runs into it...

Nova ~

that does suck. I feel your pain. I once had a POS that I called my very own. However, I had to get the transmission replaced (a good $2500 repair that insurance, of course, wouldn't touch). The DAY that I got it back from the shop, I parked it in the driveway of our house. One hour later, as I am traveling with a friend in her car, I get a call from my sister. A limb from a tree (a good 8 foot long, three foot diameter limb) has fallen on my car and not only dented the roof and the hood, but has also shattered the windshield. The insurance company wanted to total the car (it would have been cheaper for them), but I made them give me money for repairs. Keep fighting - they'll eventually do what they say they will...

thats what i am worrying about next. we have a few pine trees that look like they may fall if the right storm comes along. Also, my car is not too bad, its a mercedes (1991) so it will only cost more if i have to pay out of pocket.

but yeah, your situation was probably worse than mine
