Which grades of school do you teach? From my experience 4th-11th grade would seem the worst. I would teach Kindergarten. Finger painting and the ABC's. Sounds like fun to me.

With the Masters you can always get re-hired but lose the 5 yrs of tenure you built up so you know that will always be an option......We need teachers ..and you getting another job with those 2 special pieces of paper will get you in the door. I would recommend running or assist in running a Barnes and Noble Book Store. Simple task. Not many hours.. It will have benefits and will still pay low but give you less stress and perhaps give you the time needed in a lower stress environment to decide what is your next move while Crawdad finishes up. The court reporting pays well but it is a skilled job that may become monotonous to you. BEWARE...

. Both of my kids go to private schools and while the pay might be a little lower, they don't put up with the "puppet masters" or their parents and most teachers seem very happy with their jobs. If you have a particular religion, try a religious base school.

aka, drug dealer. I used to know a guy who was a dealer in college and after he graduated he became a pusher for pharma. He seemed to make the transition very well. Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.

This is a good point. My best friend is a district manager for a medical device company (spinal implants), and his sister is a pharm rep. Both jobs pay extremely well. The downside is that you have to be available 24/7 on your phone to answer questions and put out fires. They are very demanding jobs. Look them up on Monster, you would be surprised how many openings there are.

When I was teaching tennis, most of my pupils were doctors and the one profession they despised the most were pharm- reps. They would get bombarded multiple times a day by them pushing new products or coaxing them into endorsing or buying their products. So it sounds like a sales based job but these folks were making close to 80 grand and up depending on how well they did..Although on the upside...... at the countryclub.... Phizer would have numerous luncheons and the women that attended these events looked more like contestants for Miss America dressed to the T's and smart as whips so it is something to consider..

The drug reps I appreciate the most are the educators. If they can teach me something new, I'll see them. If they are just there to do product placement, forget about it. Educators = teachers. hey you're already a teacher! The big plus is you won't have to put up with all the innuendo of HS adolescents. You can get that here on the forums if you miss it. "teeechuh, i made a oopsie. can you help me wipe mai bawdum?" pharma rep, while not the most glamorous (or enjoyable) position, would be a solid choice. So long as you party hard after work. Safety + Peace

I like the idea of pharm rep - probably wont' happen this year or even next year, but once Crawdad is done with school, it might be time to reevaluate things. Belligerent Pimp wrote: The Man Society just suspended my man card for a week for getting rickrolled by Mrs. Mary Midwestern Housewife.
