no plane to here {pDs} Muffalopadus [DI]: I'm running around throwing dildos at people naked while riding a unicicle Well, Star Wars Galaxies got into a massive head on collision with a truck carrying gasoline, causing a massive explosion. Star Wars Galaxies was then taken from the wreckage, raped, and beat the **** out of. It is now in a comatose, charred state, while on life support.

My wife just bought it. The one thing I like about Ron Paul is that you know he is actually passionate about what he believes. He isn't saying X or Y because a voting poll says it would get him votes. I don't agree with Everything he advocates..but he does have some level headed ideas that the other republicans spin as Absurd and crazy, just because its different from what we have been doing for the last 60 years. Not really different from republicans but different from democrats and just about every other party you could think of. Libertarianism is probably the least popular ideology in the world, next to fascism.

I think If you study your history you'll find that Ron Paul is exactly in line with the traditions of the republican party and it is the majority of Republicans who are out of sink with the parties values.

Thanks. There are no "party values" that are set in stone. The only "values" the party has are those shared by the majority of its members. As times change, so do the "values", that's how democracy works. I don't know if you know this but there used to be a time when those who supported the free market were called liberals and those who supported labour unions and government control were called conservatives.

And there was also a time when if your political philosophies resembled socialism, like the republican party today, you would have been lynched. Yes parties change. But what you call libertarianism I call a traditional republican. Popularity means nothing. What works is what counts. Central economic planning and bullying nations is popular no doubt, but it doesn't work.

What "works" and what doesn't is pretty much open to subjectivity, and there's no definitive philosophy of the republican party. People think differently, get used to it.

Uhhh...I am used to it. It's been this way for some time. lol I was once a neo-con and I recognized it wasn't working. What doesn't work is not subjective. It isn't working so we're going to change things and see if we can do better. Hence the point of the book.
