Has anyone heard of a game called Alan Wake? It's made by the same people who did the Max Payne games, and this one looks absolutely awesome. They haven't released a release date yet but several sites/people seem to think it's coming out around September. This is a game designed specifically for quad core machines (unfortunately only running Vista). It's coming out on XBox 360 as well, and the trailers look absolutely mind-blowing.
What other games are people looking forward to?

That Prototype looks AWESOME. Gives me another thing 2 w8 4 after Alan Wake & Far Cry 2 come out. I only really want FC2 cos of the graphics and realism, whereas A.Wake looks like it's got a great story & style. Prototype looks like summat altogether different - cant wait for that now either!

That "Prototype" Game does look pretty good.
I don't often buy games but I will be getting "Left 4 Dead" when it comes out.
And not everyone can afford Quad-Core PC's like you, shwhjw. =]

What will happen to half life after episode 3?
It could just end, but that would suck, and seeing how much money Valve is making from all of the HL games, seems unlikely.
They could continue making games. How long will Gordon Freeman stay interesting? How long can they keep from telling who Gman is, or resolving the conflict that earth is in?
The could build / use a new engine, and make a completely new and different half life, like the difference between 1 and 2. But where do you take the plot from here? if episode 3 is the end of the combine occupation, then we'll need new and different enemies in future HL games.

They already said ep3 won't be the end of the Half-Life Franchise.
