Also rumors that Palin's 5 mo old down's syndrome baby is really her 17 yr old daughters too.

This is going to be an interesting election.

eh.. I doubt the 5 month old is hers.. That is just the media trying to get attention. As far as a 17 year old being pregnant.. I am 17 and I don't think it is that big of a deal... people make mistakes. My high school has a day care for students children...

The point is that Palin is trying to play the mother card, and yet her duties as a mother (i.e. teaching her daughter how to use protection or keep her legs closed) are not being fulfilled.

First, the rumor has been floating around the net originating from a certain left wing website for a few days.  The rumor was started with absolutely no evidence to support it.  Turns out that yes, the 17 year old daughter is 5 months pregnant and is unmarried but plans to keep the baby and  get married to the father.  Also, Palin informed McCain twice about this and in Palin's word, he said it didn't matter as it was a family issue.

Yes it's going to be interesting in the fact that certain media and political individuals and groups will and have been exposed for what they really are, phonies.  What kind of political group falsely uses a down syndrome baby for political gains?  I think this is one of the worst things I have ever seen done in politics.  BTW, there were plenty of pictures showing Palin pregnant, they just chose to ignore those.

Whatever your political persuasion, it's important to read through and understand what the politics are for a particular statement or "rumor".  I do find this sorta ironic coming from a liberal website.  I do applaud Obama for his statement regarding this.

I think you have an exaggerated idea of the powers of parenthood over horny 17 year olds.

I liked what Obama said when asked by the press for comment on this:  " Families are off limits"

Who is the greater hypocrite, a mother of 5 children and one of them acts independently at seventeen years old even though her mother may not like it, or trolling members of a political party that decry people going after President Clinton for sexual deviances HE committed in the oval office, yet can't stop shamelessly attacking any politician on the other side every chance they get?

Me, I feel like this whole thing is none of my fucking business, so I've got nothing more to say about it.

Shocking Choice by John McCain

WASHINGTON-- Senator John McCain just announced his choice for running mate:  Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska.  To follow is a statement by Rodger Schlickeisen, president of Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund.

“Senator McCain’s choice for a running mate is beyond belief. By choosing Sarah Palin, McCain has clearly made a decision to continue the Bush legacy of destructive environmental policies.

“Sarah Palin, whose husband works for BP (formerly British Petroleum), has repeatedly put special interests first when it comes to the environment. In her scant two years as governor, she has lobbied aggressively to open up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling, pushed for more drilling off of Alaska’s coasts, and put special interests above science. Ms. Palin has made it clear through her actions that she is unwilling to do even as much as the Bush administration to address the impacts of global warming. Her most recent effort has been to sue the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to remove the polar bear from the endangered species list, putting Big Oil before sound science. As unbelievable as this may sound, this actually puts her to the right of the Bush administration.

“This is Senator McCain’s first significant choice in building his executive team and it’s a bad one. It has to raise serious doubts in the minds of voters about John McCain’s commitment to conservation, to addressing the impacts of global warming and to ensuring our country ends its dependency on oil.”

The Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund (www.defendersactionfund.org) provides a powerful voice in Washington to Americans who value our conservation heritage. Through grassroots lobbying, issue advocacy and political campaigns, the Action Fund champions those laws and lawmakers that protect wildlife and wild places while working against those that do them harm.

Again, consider the source and check for yourself.  A little dishonest here when a statement  is made about her husband working for BP in the same sentence as special interests.  Her husband is a dues paying union member and a steelworker that happens to be employed by B.P..

Palin in her own words believes in balancing economics and environment.     Environmentalists don't like here neither do Oil executives but the people of Alaska seem to love her.

I'm not saying you can keep your kids from having sex. I'm saying it's bad parenting if you didn't teach your kids how to be responsible about it.

Maybe I should emphasize the using protection part more than the closing her legs part. Nothing my parents have said has ever stopped me from having sex, but at the same time nothing has ever stopped me from making a quick trip to a drug store for a pack of condoms.

Just use your fucking head.

Blah, blah, blah, blah.  -Ain't going to read any of these posts.

Someone post a pic of the daughter so I can see if I would tag that, er, like next year, when she turns 18, of course.
