I have to hype the Isuzu Rodeo whenever I can, though in this case its gas mileage probably isn't great. But it can fit 5 adults and have some storage room, or put the back seats down and have a bunch of storage room. I love the versatility of having both people and object storage. They're not making Rodeo's anymore, either, so you'd be looking used. Mine's 7 years old and I'm in no hurry to get rid of it.

Not sure any would come with a moon roof, though, either.

The reason they don't make Rodeo's anymore is because my best friend from high school became paralyzed due to a structural integrity breakdown. His lawyer sued Isuzu and won. He is also the lawyer that sued Honda and won making three-wheelers illegal to sell in the US.

Sell your Rodeo, please. Thay are NOT safe.

I actually get under the car itself when I look at cars. I've worked with welding(mainly judging the weld itself) and If I dont like what I see under the car, I give it the "scrap it" judge. If the car looks like it cant take the impact of a Huffy at 25 miles per hour, fuck it. No cars these days are made of steel anymore. I spend about 20 minutes looking at the underbelly of a car, and more if I want to be a dick. Honda's have the belly of a good care, but they cant take a hit worth shit. Toyotas' are the same. American steel is not even looking at these days. If you want a good car that has good mileage but can take a hit, get a Subaru.

Sorry, But I forgot to mention the only problem with Subaru. They design their cars with a modified engine rod. The steel rod itself inside a Subaru's engine cylinder is a thin rod, compared to an American models wheres it a lumbering (wide) peice of steel. The differance to that is, where the average car an American owns, is the V6 they drive(or V4 to the smaller car, or even the V8 to the Sports car or the Pickup) where the cylinder of their V6(V4,V6,V8,V12 ect) is that Subaru make a tiny peice of steel into the Pin of the cylinder of the engine, it moves and operates alot faster then a traditional american engine, it makes more of a "knocking" sound and the cylinder actually will snap over 15 years of use, or other engine problem with occur with most Subaru models. Good cars, shiity on long run. They may take alot of abuse, but simple wear and tear will render them more useless then a Ford Pinto..

Fuck it. Go Toyota. If it breaks right away, you dont know how to drive. Again, if it fucks up, go the the dealership and complain to the point where you wont leave the lot to the point where they give you a better one just to get rid of you(DO NOT mention how you want another car). Thats how I got 3 cars I didnt deserve to own.

If you want to talk about cars that can take a hit, I've seen some old Pontiacs and BMW's that act like a brick wall in a collision. Traffic is bad where I live and my mom has already been rear-ended twice while driving her 1998 BMW 528i that she bought only a few years ago. But the car doesn't even have a scratch.

Speaking of which, you can pick up a nice pre-owned BMW in the ballpark of $10,000 to $15,000, depending on the year and options. 4-door models usually average around 25-30 mpg, and you won't find a more fun car to drive for that price range. About the only problem with those vehicles is that the parts are really expensive, and after the car reaches about ten years old you'll need to start replacing pumps, electronics, and filters.

Crawdads:

Get a tank, call Orion over so he can check the welding.  If it can't break through a K-rail, its really not worth owning.

That makes me wonder:  Does a Tank have a captain’s chair for the driver seat?  That would make commuting much nicer.
