Furthermore, he has a tendency towards the verbose, indicating experience in pontificating to the point of inattention, hoping to unsheathe his verbal sparring opponent through sheer force of will, maintaining the length of both statement and individual word until the length of each paragraph of the post imitates that of a traditional essay; that is to say he buries multiple points within other points with the intent to overload and override the rebuttal and misguide the attention in multiple areas at once. You cannot forget that each evil in this world (the far left) must have its counterpart (the far right) --- even in our little dysfunctional community. Also, he's a lawyer, so you can't forget that 95% of everything he writes is either a distortion, misdirection, or flat-out lie. Just a little un-thought-out trolling. I don't actually believe anything I just wrote, I just wanted to de-rail this thread since it's a little too serious. And now, 3Bam, you ARE an active combatant --- in the debate within a debate of trolls. I offer this as purely a counterpundit's voice. So...basically Dick you are saying you doesn't try to understand where anybody else is coming from? The only point for you to argue is so that you can look right? I didn't think you were an extremist, but if you are, there is really no point in arguing, extremist (on both sides) are the reason this country...world is in the shit whole. HolyJaw wrote:You're forgetting the fact that Endyss, on the other hand, tends to typify the extreme-RIGHT point of view Bwahaha, you've got to be kidding me, right?? Where am I ever an extreme right-winger? My opinions on issues range from the left side (war on drugs, gay marriage) to the right (gun rights, fiscal conservatism). The only unifying thread I can point to among them is individual rights -- that government should be involved in as little as possible and never more than necessary. Last I checked, that was a libertarian point of view, but hey, you might not know that since Wikipedia can have some awfully long entries. Er, hardly. I debate issues because another person's view differs from my own. Would you rather I just tell them they're wrong, case closed? I hope my response to your post isn't too long or featuring too many long words. As everyone knows, if an issue can't be fully explored in the length of a Twitter post, it's hardly worth wasting your time on. I don't have anything against strong beliefs, I don't dislike anybody that thinks different from me, but I just hate it when somebody thinks they are the only ones that are right, there is nothing to be learned in a discussion if that is how people are acting. That is why I get into these discussions, to see what other people think, and if possible, learn from that. [CMS]defiance - Steam: defiance018 - Xfire: defianceoby - www.constantmayhem.com

Seriously, does anybody ever listen to the other side in america? The eurocentric masculinist epistemology is all about ideas competing. And nobody ever won a game by giving the other team points

Eh, it was anything to hit the Quote button on somebody besides just DCMH over and over =P Besides, I totally lol'd when I realized my mistake. Kudos to HolyJaw for succeeding in lightening the mood of the thread at least a little. HolyJaw wrote:In the end, everything Endyss said.

And nobody ever won a game by giving the other team points It may surprise people but I have spent a significant amount of time trying to understand "the other side". My final 6 months of college I spent the entire time studying neoconservativism almost exclusively. I read just about every book ever written by a neocon. I even hunted down old issues of Human Events and a few old essays from when the founders of the neocon movement still described themselves as communists. I don't think a day went by during that period when I wasn't researching neoconservativism. Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.

I was being ironic since he thinks when I do that it's not because I'm trying to understand but rather because I am trying to troll.
