I would go nVidia if I were you....

Seems like we have a lot of nVidia fans.

Term, since you've got a 550W power supply, you could save up some more clams and go for something like a 9800GTX, or possibly even a GTX 260. I only recommend ATi if you are building a gaming rig for someone else.

My Wallet Says No.

You get what you paid for when you go ATi. Just because it's inexpensive and performs well on benchmarks doesn't mean the card will last.

If you don't want to cut corners or break the bank, there's plenty of tasty new 8800GT's available in the ballpark of $100-$150 (US).

That would have been SICK to get that card for 80, anywhere up to 110 is still reasonable for a 3870X2.
Better luck next time.

It says "System Requirements: Windows Vista". It should work with XP right?

Thinking about getting a new CPU aswell,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/INTEL-CORE-2-QUAD-Q6600-1066FSB-SKT775-R_W0QQitemZ280257673766QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item280257673766&_trkparms=72%3A1089%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

But im going to leave that for a little while, My Intel Pentium 4 3.2Ghz will do for now.

It will work fine in XP with one "card". Vista is required to run 2 3870X2s in CFX.

I brought a ATI Radeon HD 3870 for £45!

Brought it used on eBay, Link

But its located in Scotland so its going to take a while to arrive =[

I really hope it works & if it doesn't, I hope I get a refund..

My card arrived today,

It was well packaged, He must have used a whole roll of duct tape, took me ages to get it all off!

The card works and I have had no problems with it
