Socialism works!

Fox is clearly an arm of the GOP. Their election coverage was painful, especially in the final weeks. Fox News viewers are the most ignorant and the most likely to vote Republican. As I recall, people for whom Fox is their primary news outlet are actually the most reliable voting bloc the GOP has, probably because so many of them think Obama is a Muslim and that Saddam was responsible for 9/11 (and we found the missing WMD!). I'll hate on CNN and MSNBC any time, but Fox News is a whole level of shit beyond either of them.

Yeah, the BBC itself, or BBC America.

Both hold better, more substantive coverage of U.S. Presidential elections than the typical, MSNBC, CNN, FOX.....etc. etc.
Suffers from the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency — nay — the very existence of George W. Bush

AKA

Bush Derangement Syndrome

Unless they promoted your guy.  Then it'd all be cool.

That is an interesting confession.

I watch Fox News, and if I had to select one news source as my "primary news outlet" it would likely be Fox News.  Would you care to retract your sweeping insults, or dodge by claiming I'm the exception?

Either way, I love to hear just how little you think of me.

What? You know I think highly of you, or I thought you did - I can't help that reality has a liberal bias. And I know you are smarter than this so go re-read what I wrote, and perhaps take a peak at this: http://people-press.org/...-information-revolutions

I didn't mean to start a fight.  I'm sure all news organizations have plenty of ignorant people getting their news from them, but I get the sense when you say "Fox News viewers are the most ignorant and the most likely to vote Republican" that you are clearly equating the two.  As I'm sure you could guess, I'm more likely to vote Republican for the same reason Ron Paul ran as a Republican -- I find it easier to side with "the party of fiscal discipline" (current administration excepted) and disagree on the legislating of morals than go with the party of moral relativism and class warfare.  Either way I'd prefer a viable third party candidate and don't remotely consider myself "a Republican."

I respect anyone's right to their opinion on Fox News and other news outlets and commentators, but I consider myself pretty damn sensitive to politically slanted commentary whether it's from a reporter, motion picture, or even videogame (Gears of War 2 was obviously written by someone with a very negative view of the wars in Afganistan and Iraq).  Admittedly I'll occasionally see "conservative" opinions slip out of some of Fox News' people, but in my experience it's by far the exception and a world away from some of the overtly biased coverage on other places.  I think it's commonsensical that one doesn't pick up on biases that are in line with your own personal views as immediately as ones that jar with them, so it may just come down to "different strokes for different folks."  I just get tired of the sheer hate and acrimony directed at Fox News (and now its viewership), especially since I consider myself to be one of them.

As to the study you linked to, how do you square the fact that Fox News and CNN were the only news channels included, or more importantly, that it also included the O'Reilly Factor, Fox News Channel's most watched program, at #4 in the audience Knowledge Level?  I'll even give you a study of my own from the Project for Excellence in Journalism that showed Fox News' coverage of the election to be the most even across the board of any news outlet, almost to a percentage: http://www.journalism.org/node/13436

Btw, I took the quiz at the Pew study page and got 12 out of 12 correct.  Identifying the country Serbia declared independence from was the only one that made me stop and think.
