you need an 80% to pass btw.  what makes me laugh is that they expect people who have no education on our history to pass this.

1 Wrong = 95% = Awesome to the Max

Twitchy, how did you get a 98%?  There are 20 questions, so each question is worth 5 points.  Did you manage to get partial credit on a multiple choice test?

I highly doubt because they don't know our civil history it means they're less educated.  This shouldnt be a test of our history if anything it should be a much more general test akin to the standardized testing most public schools have to go through.  "How many stripes are on the flag" is hardly something worth judging somebody's entire education on.  It's ridiculous.

100%

Actually, "How many stripes are on the flag?" Test their abilities to count. Why the stripes are there tests their abilities to read the pamphlet given to them before they decide to take the test. Could you write a test to become a citizen that is more appropriate? This is much more simple than having to take a states "high school" level standardized test.

If someone can't pass this test, (after reading over the "study" material first) then it isn't because they don't know the US's history.

It's not that simple, it'd be a refresher course for us, but it's completely new to them.  So they get some basic information, this stuff was taught to use from elementary on through high school, you want them to learn all of it by reading a pamphlet?  Come on man let's get real, mathematics, science, and some english grammer is much more universal than our Declaration of Independance, and as such more suited to judge whether or not someone would be a good contribution to this country.

Edit: And not only that, most people who WERE taught this throughout their education cant do better than a D.  As evidenced by our community.

Except we were born here.... and we have a right to be here..... I don't see an problem with making them learn some history on the country they wish to join.
