The only question I have for the spy update is... What is consider lethal besides critical hits like rockets and etc.?

Would this work against flames? It's lethal because it lights you up and exposes you. It's not really lethal because it doesn't instant kill.

Any non-killing damage rec'd. Ex. if you only have 50 hp left and a scout double shots you in face...your watch isnt going to go off (and you die), but if a medic puts a syringe in you...you cloak and feign death. I imagine its still going to be hard to avoid pyros simply because they usually lay down on the fire button, and even if your feign death goes off and you pull away to the side under your new cloak...well that pyro is going to be strafing around to catch you on fire again. It will be good against other classes who are spy checking, though. Not foolproof....I dont think Ill ever be tricked by it :p

Though I wonder if you can only use one of the two devices at once. in place of the pistol. They arent going to take away your knife, or disguise right? what else is there? sappers have to go?

Negative, the last update added the cloaking watch as a weapon to the spy as well. The new cloaking watch will replace the old one obviously and the dead ringer will replace the revolver because it stated that you'll cloak for 8 seconds which will give you enough time to get behind someone to deal the killing blow aka back stab.

What's the downside to the Cloak & Dagger? Are you always visible when moving? Does it freeze the meter when you stand still, so you can continue it later, or decloak to regenerate it? Or (as I'm fearing), can you ALWAYS regenerate it by standing still, just run, stop, run stop, and cloak your way all the way into the intel room?

If the latter, then what's the point of EVER using the regular cloak again??

No No you will be cloaked when running...when its activated.
My hope is that the downside is that it doesn't recharge ANY time you moving. Be that cloaked or uncloaked. So the down side is really that in an emergency situation (see.)where you have run out of cloak and an enemy detects you. You are shit outta luck because you can't just stand still...they will find you. and you cant run away cloaked because its all gone and you cant pick up metal to replenish it.

Ugh... the edit button is where the quote button use to be at :(

The old watch allows you to pick up metal. The new watch doesn't.

Right, but the current cloak drains ALL the time, whether standing still or moving. Other than the risky prospect of using ammo packs to recharge (still no word whether that'll work on the Cloak & Dagger), the only difference I see is that it actually RECHARGES while still. So.... why would you ever use the one that drains all the time?

My hypothesis is that the new cloaking device has a higher exertion rate when moving than the previously used watch. The original cloaking watch was useful at any given time (ordinarily), but this new watch basically reinforces the idea of "staying still until the time is right". With a focus on that, I wouldn't be surprised if it drained twice as fast as the original watch...which isn't saying much since the original watch was only good for 10-15 seconds. It's a campers tool -- no doubt about it -- so I doubt it will replace the original.

With the Cloak & Dagger, I'm guessing that -- imo -- it's highly dependent on your health only and not on ammo. Saying it does replace the Revolver, the 8 seconds of "HA HA, I'm not dead, failure!" is largely dependent on rather or not you can "survive" physical damage, period. Considering that you have virtually nothing to really go on the offensive with in the middle of a firefight with NO Revolver, the average Spy wouldn't last very, very long. 1 direct hit is enough, sometimes.

...Though if this is true with the Cloak & Dagger (assuming this is even a valid argument), the Spy could virtually go without ammo.
