Sucks shit to see the server go down, but I'm very glad to hear the site will remain up. I think that, more than the gaming aspect, is what really kept this community together; I mean, let's face it, not all of us fragged every single night. So I'm very glad to see the site and forums stay up, and I think that's reason enough to see that for a long time, those {pDs} tags will be rocking everywhere, regardless of the existence of a home server.

Glad to have been a part of this place for a few years now, and glad to still be a part of this place.

This ain't goodbye by any means.

James,

Thank you for all the effort, energy and love you put into this community. Thank you for choosing to move on with your next chapter in your life and to move onto the next great thing on your path in this go-round. You're going through some pruning now. The process of letting go of the old isn't easy, but after the tree is cut back in the autumn, it comes back strong and bears new fruit in the Spring.

I for one am looking forward to hearing what amazing things you do with your life next.
Thanks for keeping the forum up and keep us posted.

Maybe I should have sent pie sooner?? Blueberry pie is your favorite, right?

Seriously, though - do what you need to do. As we have often typed on these boards: real life > gaming.

We understand. We don't like it, but we understand.

And thanks, Whut. How awesome is this community with people from all over North America who joke and play and are there for each other.

I love our little pDs/wdfnews family.

And now I'm crying again.

OMG. And what Virus said. He's so well spoken and said what I wanted to say.

I know I have really dropped the ball on helping you out with this place James, but I am a god awful leader and you where way better at it when we started this awesome train, so I slacked and now I feel really crappy about it. It makes me really sad you are going, but with the cards life is dealing you right now I fully understand it.

You have been one of my most long lasting internet homies and a really good friend so even if we never do quite see eye to eye I always enjoy your company, be it digital or real life. You had better stay up to date on the forums, no one posts like you do and if I dont see you on here I am going to end up crying with Mrs. C.

pDs forever.

Formally known as MrT
The film "Brokeback Mountain" was originally pitched as an off-beat romance starring MrT and WhutDuFuk. The sole reason the two legends declined the starring roles is because if MrT and WhutDuFuk were to kiss, there would be new meaning to the word homosexual...it would mean "obligation".

With the ending of this, my ties to POM, Mr, Pro, Nocturnal, and pDs as an active clan die as well. Over a decade of on and off gaming with some of the same people. Even though my activity in gaming seriously declined in the last few years, I always tried to come back and re-live some of the glory days. Times change, people change, and at least we had fun a lot longer then many of the other communities.

Just think, I met you back when I was in the 7th grade, and you were in high school... That shit is astonishing. So cheers Whutdufuk, I'm glad I met you way back when and I hope I see you doing well in another decade.

I would like to propose 2 things:

1) Password protect the server one night soon for only pDs people to play together. Other regulars by invite only.

2) All recruits become instant pDs members for the duration that the servers are active.

What say ye?

Thank you so much for everything Whut. Everyone here owes you a great debt of gratitude for providing us with a wonderful home. I know I am proud to count myself among the {pDs} ranks. And while our servers will be missed, our community will never die.

and yes, we should have a final night of {pds}-only play to give the servers a fond farewell (I know they're still open for now, but hey, Whut leaving calls for a farewell party).

Also Whut, may fortune smile on you as you travel your new path, best of luck friend.

Thanks James for giving birth to this place.
I believe it still has the snowball (giggity) effect and will still continue to grow dispite being a clan without a server.
Really the only reason we came to the server was to be with friends and we can do that still.
{pDs} having been exiled from Egypt (god I hate that map) will continue to rome wild as ever.
Look on the bright side, we can now roll into other servers and stack the shit outa some teams.

Feels like the last episode of cheers.

Hey Whut,

You and I never really talked all that much, but I still have great deal of respect for you and the dedication you've shown towards the clan and the servers. It is grealy appreciated!

Even though I have not been here for too long, I have to say that I have enjoyed myself immensely. You all are the best online friends I have gotten to know and hope to stick around for much longer. Although your decision was not easy, you had to do it in order to move ahead with your life. There are things that you need to accomplish and we can accept that. Make your dreams come alive and maybe some day, when you have all the time in the world, come back. Thank you.

Wow, I've been around since nearly the beginning, probably 01 or 02. I may not have been active the last couple of years, but I lived and breathed the site and clan for a few years and single-handedly handled the media side of things for a long time. Then I always tried to help build this place, and when I left I put a few people in my place, one of which is still very active. Thanks for the shout out you dick.

I miss the good old days.
