Per Frost's request, another poll to vote on resetting the server.
I'll let him make his case for it. Please don't vote until then.

Edit: BTW, the poll should expire by... the end of Sunday? I think? So get your votes in by then.

I am asking because with the bed update soon Mutiplayer will be able to get their own spawn points , So a Server reset would be in everyone interest , There is still drama about people building too close to each other

Super has 2 people right near his ,

I have rik and crawdad to the point i found some of their tunnels even under mine

We are no longer newbies to the game , we all know better now and with this update i think its time we start over and all spread out ..no building close to spawn and all that ...No more drama ..no more Hordeing on others turf ..all fixed
it doesn't change the fact that most people think Jews are much like the Ferengi of Star Trek. More interested in acquiring "profits" than anything else. -Erkdog

Shut the fuck up Frostbite, I know what i am doing i been playing TF2 for 8 fucking years i know how to run my damn servers-Erkdog

More pearls from Erkdog
I say we let him back on the forums.

Maybe Rik will learn how rails work and make a skyway that's worth a damn a second time around :D

Just saying.

Just couldn't help but bring your issues with me into yet another topic, could you?
Forget the Minecraft server... this is beginning to enter the realm of forum moderation. Not that I'd put that hat on in a situation I'm involved with, myself, but I certainly wouldn't begrudge another administrator from doing so.

Oh Noes D: a scary admin is waving his dick around, whatever will I do QQ

Alright, I've had my fun, so since you're a bit slow apparently I'll spell it out for you -
At any point you could have been the bigger man, and walked away - but you haven't.
My 'bitching over every little thing' as you put it, did have a purpose, and once you ignored it I just escalated, as have you -

Now it's little more then trolling you, but since we've lost sight of what originally caused all this - let's refresh your memory.

FIX THE FUCKING SERVER.

Figure out territory rules - don't worry about hard-programing them into the server, but at the very least have a system up where we don't have people building 10 blocks away from us.

This just wasn't my and frostbites problem, but also super penguins - and if more people join in, which they've shown interest in doing - it's going to only get worse until you figure out what you want to do.

Hell I have even suggested three different models of how you could let this work - and you've ignored it outright.

Fix the fucking mods - If you want mods in the game, fine, but as frostbite has pointed out - you didn't even put it up to a vote on the forum, to which you said "It's my server, not the PDS." or - even more laughable you said it was a 'WDF News' server, not a PDS, ok - then put up a vote on the WDF news forum then.

If they pass, then fine - but having you on a whim change the fundamental rules of the game is rather disheartening.

That said I would love to see certain kinds of mods in the game, just nothing as drastic as outright removing 25% of enemy spawns or turning off PvP - as it makes it impossible to do somethings that I for one would like to do

Figure out the Server Focus - you say it's a bloody survival - creative server, without creepers I only ask - how long do you think it'll be until that gets dull?

This is again something you'd want to ask the rest of the forum about - but if we actually had a purpose in the server it would probably help. Castle Wars was brought up - that could be fun, have people pick sides and give them say - a week to build a castle then let the war commence. I for one would like just to have a RP server running, because I'm a fag like that.

Which leads to the final point that was brought up weeks ago -

It's probably a good idea to figure the issues out with the server and reset it.

This was a experimental run, and yes, it'll suck having to restart - but things are only going to get worse from here with the unadressed questions continuing to cause problems.

Not just for me, Not just for Frostbite, Not just for Quarts, Super Penguin, or Bragr, but for anyone else who joins in the server - because as it is there's too little regulation on what too little there is to do in the server

THE SKY IS FALLING THE SKY IS FALLING THE SKY IS FALLING

Here's my stab at peoples' bitching ratio about the server setup:
- Porgon: 95%
- Frostbite: 4.9%
- Everyone else combined: 0.1%

I missed Erkdog's reign of terror here so I can't be sure what it was all about, but damn if I don't have the urge to refer to you as him.

I mean, seriously... we've even had someone reverse their vote on an issue just to spite you, due to your incessant bitching. Do you think this trolling and spamming is really going to change anything? When your arguments were civil and consistent, maybe. But now?

P.S. As for your accusation I've only "copied" your idea of laying a rail system, and your accusation I'm a liar for saying otherwise...

2011-02-06 01:39:35 [INFO] <Rikaelus> man... glad I decided to dig this tunnel.. tons of iron
2011-02-06 01:39:41 [INFO] <SuperPenguin> nice
2011-02-06 01:40:11 [INFO] <Rikaelus> gonna need it when it comes time to lay tracks on all my bridges and tunnels
2011-02-06 01:40:29 [INFO] <SuperPenguin> yeah, i'd have made those long ago if not for the iron
2011-02-06 01:40:42 [INFO] <Rikaelus> at least you get quite a few for the 6 iron you need
2011-02-06 01:40:50 [INFO] <SuperPenguin> yeppers

I stated my intention to do it two and a half weeks ago. Long before you said anything anywhere about your intention to do so.

And I had almost seven stacks of iron saved up, when the only use for that much is to make tracks. If I hadn't planned for that you can bet your ass I would have been using it to make tools and armor. Any idea how many stone tools I went through digging out some 65,000+ blocks for my dome? A lot. Iron tools would have made that go a lot faster.

Aaaand you just ignore the post to continue the bitchfest, yarp.

I can certainly see how your bridge concept fixes the territory issue.

or how complaining about my complaining keeps the game fresh and exciting

oh! or even how digging up chat logs from the server archive proves your point about how there shouldn't be any worries about random plug ins you decide to install without notice!

It's so hard.
He's such an easy target. ;_;
But okay. I haven't restrained myself since a few people seemed to find it amusing, but if the novelty of it has faded I'll try to pull myself away.

To even consider comparing this to that is laughable though.

I think it's that quote of his on Frost's signature that made me draw the comparison.

The sentiment seems somehow familiar to more recent statements...

Indeed, something along the lines of "It's my server and I'll do with it what I want" comes to mind.

Which I've never said, and in fact we've had a couple polls about settings and the server's status, and pretty much everything is open to voting. So you foundation is lacking just a tad.

Meanwhile... you've certainly implied you know everything there is to know about running a server right.

Which is why there's voting on creeper damage, which is a major game play changing thing - or a vote on what the community wants from the server ... right

: | and I've never implied any such thing - I know the game fairly well, but I don't run a server for one very large reason - I don't know how to manage one.

Also whatever happened to backing off? I thought you weren't going to respond to my shenanigans anymore, after all obviously all I'm doing is trolling you - and not having legitimate concerns or complaints about the server, nope. not at all.

I was going to stay out of your little bitch fests guys but this quote threw me off .. Rik when you started changing shit right at the beginning i asked about voting for the changes you said "This was NOT a Pds server" and you implied it was a personal server because it took so much usage of the computer

Your stance might of changed but when the server first was started you said "my server my rules"

So you can understand why he said that
