Yeah that first round was a close one. Getting the second point was a great success! Don't worry crap, I don't think much less of you. Much. I'm happy that Growf played and didn't die too much. STRATEGY FOR NEXT ROUND: Cap point, cap asses. I'm kind of disappointed that that second cap became the final bottleneck after the first round. I like the latter part of the map but we only got to play through it once, and never as defense.

So matches haven't officially been arranged for next week, but the results from Mondays matches are in so we know who we're playing. We'll beat them. Hello everyone, just checking in again. I've got an update on tomorrow's match. We are the visiting team tomorrow so we don't need to supply the server. But the other team doesn't have a server and hasn't made any progress in finding one as of yet, so we may end up playing later in the evening than usual. As soon as I know I will tell you all what time we will for sure be playing. I'll contact you all personally if it for some reason ends up being earlier than normal, but I will try to avoid this because I know we have conflicts. Youve always put in tons of work to make sure we have a server and coordinate this, they should be doing the same, right?

I'll plan on getting onto Teamspeak by 9:10 EST but I wanted to give Growf the option of continuing as Medic for the playoffs. I'll be available if needed. By the way, we got 2 feet of powder in Utah last week so I didn't miss you guys at all. "I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Smells like ... victory"

I'm becoming less and less forgiving the longer the season goes. =P virus wrote:By the way, we got 2 feet of powder in Utah last week so I didn't miss you guys at all. Good work last night everyone. If you didn't stay on TeamSpeak for very long last night you probably missed out on hearing that last night's win put us into at least... PALLADIUM: 4th PlaceYeah, that's right, we're cool. If we win next week then we're in either 1st or 2nd place. I'm not going to be here this weekend until Sunday. I may or may not be able to arrange a practice. Which we will probably need at this point. Though it is just good old Gravelpit next. That is all for now. Matches have not been scheduled as of yet for next week. Plan on default match time though. Quote:Razor: As hard as one might try no one will ever be able to pull one over on Super Penguin. I'm really proud of our team. We've had huge improvements compared to early in the season and despite our little personality quirks we've learned to work together as a team over the season. Whatever happens next Monday, I've really had some fun with you all over the last few months. Good Game to everyone who has played this season. "I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Did someone mention knowing next week's map? If so, I'll get it set up on the Tempest. The UGC website isn't showing it yet. Also, it looks like we'll be playing against Survival Machine for 1st place in the Palladium bracket. They have a colorful W/L history but are pretty close to our record in the playoffs--we fared better than they did in the second playoff match.

They updated the site, here's the link for the official rules: ^_^Here's the rundown: Each team picks a map to play on. Best of three wins, tiebreak is played on Koth_ashville_rc1. For our pick we can choose any of the maps that we played on during the regular season, here's the list, since I'm sure you all have forgotten by now: pl_badwater cp_warmfront cp_follower koth_lakeside cp_gullywash_final1 cp_steel pl_swiftwater_ugc ctf_turbine_pro_b1 koth_pro_viaduct_rc3 cp_granary pl_upward koth_ashville cp_gravelpit In my opinion, good choices for us are badwater, warmfront, lakeside, turbine, granary, upward, or gravelpit. Unless we want to buckle down and pick one of the custom maps and practice it well. The other team could very well pick the same map as us, so we should have a backup in mind. Playing on the same map for 2 rounds could prove fatal. Think about which map you're best at and which one you think the team played the best on. My recommendations really don't matter, we've played all these maps now so we have experience with them.
