oops, this video was cropped.

Dont know what that means, but okeee-dokeeee

You might not be able to tell from this one, but this is an actual Toyota Tacoma commercial. Apparently they thought it would be wise to invest however many thousands of dollars they did to make a commercial that marketed a product to the wrong audience.

This is the only place I am getting what you said wrong....?
Apparently they thought it would be wise to invest their money to target people over a certain age, I am sure their target was the working class.

Well they made a good choice since most of what I read puts WoW players in the avg of 28.5 range.

Clap Clap Toyota.  I think your marketing analysis and understanding of demographics is excellent.

Do you have credible statistics and evidence to back these wildly hopeful claims?

What claims, that their commercial was geared and aimed at mid 20 to late 20 year olds playing a video game?
Sure, doesnt everyone?  Google the shit.  i will give you a hint G-O-O-G-L-E.

I refuse to do the footwork for you just so I can argue with you, there is no reward for this trivial bullshit, so have fun, its out there, you just need to find it.

People buy trucks because they're useful for hauling things. Just about EVERYONE, at least in the Seattle area,

Impressive, not only do you know "Just about everyone in Seattle" but you also know just about what everyone does with their
trucks, really impressive.

Just about everyone in Seattle who has a truck has one because they are a landscaper or carpenter or some other contractor.

And you have the local Seattle work demographics nailed as well, bravo for you.

If you're not one of these, and you're not constantly hauling things, buying a truck would be a very silly thing to do.

cough! bullshit!! cough.  In 1994 I owned a 1991 Ford F-150 Lariet and I wasnt a contractor, land-scraper or a carpenter, hell I wasnt even
using it to deliver loads of cowshit, but I owned one and had a greeeeat time being a truck owner.  I did use it a few times to go
to the top of a few mountains for camping reasons.  Most of the Contract-scraper-penters I knew had SUVs, MiniVans and Box Trucks/

I challenge you to prove that there are enough wow players who also would have a use for a truck to make this commercial a worthy investment for toyota.

Challenge away, challenge away.  I left my last gaming community (veteran of 3 years of pure dedication) because of arguing with mindless teenagers and
stupid kids who think that because they 'done growed up' that they were smarter than the average 3 year old fat retarded deaf baby.

I am going to practice restraint and the ignore feature to prevent anymore of this unhappiness you seem to be surrounded by.
I can tell from your initial posts that you are the shit starting, bad mouthing uncontrollable, irritant of this community and after this post, you will be ignored.

Good luck to you.

SHIT!!!!! No ignore feature.  Well then restraint it is.......

Well then I'm glad you've decided to give up. Now, mister zen master, try to practice restraint from your ignorant, self-righteous inane blathering and think about how many "working class mid 20 to late 20 year olds" are going to buy a brand new truck after seeing this commercial. This post isn't me wanting you to post again, I could care less what you think. In fact, your silence is greatly welcomed.

You're 6 posts in and already making a poor first impression.

Did you really deem it necessary to jump back into the thread and supply commentary on every point that was made?

Dammit to all hell.....

Like I said, I just stopped by to say hello, it's clearly evident that this Avner character is the know-it all be knowing -it all shit starter.

You asked for credibility in my wild and hopeful claims.  Well numbnuts, its available on the internet what the average age of that stupid video game is and its 28.5 years old.

I think that if you put that stupid video game and that stupid commerical together with the average age of those stupid people who play that stupid game, well, there is your answer for my hopeful claim.

So go back to what ever it is that you do, which from evidence in your posts, being a smarty pants who obvioulsy has a reputation of being a fat bloated bag of hot air, enjoy.

-yes I broke my own promise of practicing restraint from arguing with childish little ghetto-rock wanna-be's, but its not too late, its not too late.

Have fun, I hope you have something more to offer me as the potential insult machine that you seem to be and the supa-star of the forums that you think you are.

Not really, I do give a fuck, I came into this with the best intentions.  I like the style you guys have for your web.

I like the way you guys carry yourselves in the servers and I especially like the sense of humor that was put into

creating this community, its awesome and awesome looking, keep up the good work.

I tried to avoid any run in's with e-thugs and e-scholars, but its evident you cant escape them.  People who hide behind keyboards, who

think they know 'everything' run of the mill fat bloated bags of hot fucking air is how I see them - most of the time when you actually physically see them

they are nothing more than weasels, zit faced teenagers with a stream of testosterone running through their veins like a heroin junky just waiting for that moment

to pounce someone with big, foul words and e-intelligence wrapped up like a douche thinking that what they say, what they think really has any importance in the real world.

(The proof is in this self-proclaimed Seattle demographic, work statistic and marketing expert explaining why Toyota wasted money making a commercial geared towards the working class adult which is proven statistically based on a 35,000 person survey is perdominatly between the ages of 27 and 28 playing that video game.  When his own, unadmitted error is thinking that the game is for children his age and his little peckered friends).

When in reality they just should take all that 'pent up agnst and frustration and get away from the computer and go do something physically healthy for themselves.

or better yet, be all sarcastic about my post, claim that I am right and that my advice is good and that they are going to take it seriously and than follow it up with a big fuck you.

The smartest children in the world are found right here, THE INTERNET.

Please mister tough guy, please serve me a huge STFU burritto with extra STFU sauce, or is that weak sauce, kthxbai, failed.  ((Trying to put as much cool hip lingo in there to get your attention, o'rly?!!)

Admin: does this forum come with an ignore feature for people such as this irritant crotch rash and his friend herpes?

Lol, I love how people like whoopsie and nate act cool and indifferent when they rabble-rouse more than anyone else. Do you really think I give a shit if you insult me? You don't even know me. It's like every word you type is a horribly hopless kick at a non-existent dead horse. You know you've failed when you go straight for personal attacks rather than address a valid point.

The point was addressed, the discussion was kept within line of topic and thats it. . . . . . everything else came afterwards based on where the thread went.

All I did was respond to you in the manner you were speaking to me, if you have problems with people understanding your real intentions in your posts, you shouldn't try to lather them up with face to face comments like, "credibility, hopeful claims, back up what you are saying and challenge", its not polite and not very welcoming and could put anyone, anyone on the defensive.

Like I said home slice, I aint here to make enemies, The only name calling above was "Self-proclaimed" everything else was a generalization, which is another thing you guys were speaking earlier.

So in respect to you and others, I apologize for anything I may have done to disrespect or offend you in anyway.

Pardon if I'm forward in arguments, but I lose patience when people fail to address the correct points and rabble-rouse. I think we can both agree that neither of us know enough of the statistics to make sweeping generalisations, but I must return to my previous statement which I was referring to earlier.

I found some statistics that prove the point of the age layout of most WoW players.  The commercial is geared towards that age level above it and below it, especially since the mean is 28.5  there is plenty of room to move in both directions.  I think it was effective, comedic and well produced.

As for who will actually buy a Toyota truck after seeing the commerical is probably along the same lines as who is going to buy a TRANE air conditioner after seeing the commerical, or who will change their banking to WAMu instead of those rich fat greedy bastard banks out there.  Its not about jumping up and buying it the day of the commercial, its the long term impact the commerical has over the psyche of the buyer.

Hey my Air Conditioner is out, didnt we see a commerical for alocal TRANE AC dealer a few days ago.  Lets go see what they got.

Hey my bank charges to much for check fees and ATM withdraws from other banks, didnt we see a WAMu commerical talking about free checking and ATM access a few eeks back?  Man that commerical is stuck in my head especially since it included naked old men in it.!!!!

hey my car finally broke down on me, remember that kick ass WoW commercial we saw, lets go look at some Toyota trucks.

Thats how business works, thats how commericals work.  It amazes me sometimes thats how they work, but THATS how they work.

(Now I got a headache. you know I've never tried HEAD-ON nor  have I applied it directly to my forehead, i wonder if it works ! !)
