Could we keep one custom server?  Maybe the custom map one?

Make the 2Fort and Default maps stock and advertise the custom one.  Maybe with the increased traffic of the two, we could possible switch another one over in the future to the custom tab if we get the name out "in the beginning".

Ok maybe I am just drunk or high or confused.  Why dont we have a server that obides by teh steam rules following the update.  That server stays listed.  Then in the intro screen we list teh other servers.

I really dont understand what the fuckin discussion is.  We have mutiple TF2 servers. Vanilla one and find a way to bring people to the other.  Wow this is 5 pages long thread wise....

There are multiple servers what the fuck is the big deal with doing one with "Steam" requirements.

Man post all you want on the steam forums about how this sucks, but really do they give a shit, no. Post it all, start a mail campaign, it doesnt matter.

Look they are steam, they are teh platform that runs this game and many more.  If you dont like it, well build you own platform.

If they delist us again Vanilla one. It appears #2 is full again so lets hope they dont delist us. But again if they do Vanilla one of them.

I just want to point out that there may be more reasons to the drop in traffic recently.

Number one is that there was a period of excessive lag in the servers, and this is still noticeable a few days ago when I played. I think this is the bare minimum requirement for a server to attract regulars and to turn off potential regulars. Forget the mods or the customization or the respawn times. I think people saw the Tempests and equated it with 'unplayable lag', and just stopped coming.

Our custom maps rotation, has a few bumpy maps that completely clear servers. From my experience playing on there, and I really like custom maps, certain maps either have crashing errors or are simply not suitable for 32 people play. I think looking at other servers that are known successfully for a custom maps rotation, they provide maps that are liked and have some staying power. They don't have to be 24-7 grind maps, but just quality ones that people can warm up to. So far our custom server can be described as 1/2 the people typing 'rtv' when a non-warpath map comes on, and then subsequently being changed to warpath.

I've played on these servers _a lot_ and I am always trying to fill it. But I think even if we provide a vanilla server, there's other problems we need to look at also.
