Easy sense of accomplishment. Even if you don't kill anyone, setting them on fire and forcing them to retreat is a viable benefit to your team. Or at the very least, annoying the enemy can be satisfying.

Erm.. actually no. I've said repeatedly that the removal of the 50 health only limits the pyro in one specific situation; that of ambushing large groups. Not once have I said this is a general "gimp".

What I find funny is that everyone else is acting like it is - as though this one thing now suddenly takes a completely unbalanced class and balances it. People say pyros won't charge in anymore. They still do. They say now there won't be as many pyros. I still see 4-5 simultaneously at times. It's the contradiction between the specifics and generalities that I see folks "on your side" spouting that keeps me going.

Pick a stance. Either the 50 health meant a lot and made an observable change to the game, or it meant very little and didn't change the use of the pyro.

Like I said, I think they are balanced fine now.   The Pyro is a legit threat now (unlike before the patch), but can still be dealt with.  If you reduce his flame reach or drop off you kill the class again.

I vote yet again to have this thread locked.
