Yea, surprised it hasn't reached the forums yet. As you can tell from the article is that they basically have no information on it because they start to talk about how it relates to past shootings.

yeah, the media here have been running that story all day. Sky News (aka fox news) must have spoken to about half the campus already, coverage on it is dire, they even asked whether the victims were going out with anybody... real lack of respect or decency. i heard though that it took nearly 2 hours for the campus authorities to report the first shooting for police. some seem to be suggesting that had they locked the school down straight away (as one might expect) that it could have prevented some of the fatalities. 31 deaths and the shooter. that's a record isn't it? American's and guns..... when will you guys learn? yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

And they called the cops, locked down and then 2 hours later when the lock down was stopped the guy, realizing that he would get the death penalty or life, went back and shot random people
Again, they really have no idea.

sounds plausible, did the shooter have any connection to the first ones? As far as i know they havnt released ANY info on the shooter himself. Just that he was asian-american.

Same shooter. They have confirmed that the cops shot him.
Personally I think Solitary for life without any limbs>being shot by the cops.

The tragedy that happened today at Virginia Tech is really sad and honestly it is upsetting to think about the parents having to get phone calls or to have police show up at their door to have the news that their kid(s) are dead is heartbreaking...

I find it disturbing that this is "respectful" if anything it is lazy. Suck comments as "Damnnn this is WORSE than Columbine :[[ I'm really sorry," mean nothing over the web coming from a teenager who can't even tell me the year Columbine occurred.I mean really, they could at least take the time to spell the persons name rite.
It is scary as a generation that this is were our thoughts and prayers are seen, not in our actions.
And also, I DON'T THINK THAT THIS INCIDENT IN ANY WAY PROVES THAT AMERICAN KIDS NEED MORE LOVE AND CARE! If anything they should be harsher on us,
Sorry if these seems harsh but a local radio station set me off, apparently kids of today are not getting enough love.
And yes, I am just as bad and lazy posting this on a forum, but I really don't feel emotional toward this.

Its been awhile but I seem to remember that we have known some people who came through here from virgina tech.. I seem to remember mmk was going to school in that area? There might have been others too? Once Known as Grumpy... Oh hell lets face it... I have and will always be Grumpy

yes, i remember i think i remember mmk told me he attended vtech awhile ago.
i also have couple friends and a cousin who goes to VTECH. I was relieved to hear that they were all okay, but this incident still scared the shit out of me when i was watching the news this morning. i cant believe that one guy could be so cold and heartless to kill and injure so many innocent people. also really dissappointed in the response, they should of made an effort to lockdown the entire campus, even if its huge, as soon as the first shooting incident occured, ESPECIALLY since they knew the shooter was still on the loose. Why should they just simply assume the shooter fled campus and that there was no reason another incident could of occured?

what I find disturbing are the gun nuts and anti-video game zealots trying to capitalize on this. life isn't a fucking movie where the lone hero busts out his gun and saves the day. shit rarely works that way. and crazy people are fucking crazy. they don't get that way because they play fucking violent video games.
