I wish the gun nuts and the anti-video game assholes would shut the fuck up and fight each other. funny enough i read an article in the paper there a few weeks where an Irish phsycholoy professer was asked about this. he effectvely said it's bullshit, and that there is nothing to suggest it. if anything the evidence suggest that crazies are more likely to play video games at best. yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

Everyone is always so quick to pull the "stupid American" card. Guess what:
Quote:Police identified the gunman in the classroom attack as 23-year-old Cho Seung-Hui (pronounced Choh Suhng-whee). Cho was in the U.S. as a resident alien [from South Korea] with an address in Centreville, Va., but was living on campus in a different dorm from the one where the bloodbath began, the university said.

WDF? wrote:Yeah, euronubs are quick to jump on America for everything, from being fat to gun control. I just read an article stating that 1 in 4 brits are Obese. Brits are the Americans of Europe! Seriously though, when it comes to violent crime Americans top the stats of all developed nations by a huge margin. We have crime like a third world nation, hell we have crime worse than a lot of third world nations. And as far as the shooter goes, he grew up in the US even if he wasn't a citizen I'm sure he was pretty "Americanized". That said, the largest death tolls from shooting rampages have not been in the US. If I remember correctly South Korea has the highest death toll in a single event, followed by Australia, then the US with this one. I don't think this is a good example of the problems in the US, things like this happen everywhere. A better example is the fact that the US has an insanely high murder rate compared to other nations. In a single week we have more people killed by guns than pretty much any EU nation does in an entire year. Compare the US to Switzerland which is full of guns, although I don't think they have as many per capita as the US. Razor wrote:Killing people is good therapy.

I found out about this yesterday morning at school. I live about two hours from Tech. I've spent some time there before, it's a really nice school. It's a shame that students can't feel safe on that campus anymore. It's hard to understand how one college kid could just snap and end 32 lives, ruining countless others. (As i was replying to this last night, my power went out, and with it my internet, phones, and cable. Fucking comcast) Bike wrote:I like to make werewolf movies.

anyone giving out about me... he wouldn't have been able to get the guns in most other western countries (at least not here anyway). so regardless of how fucked up he was its doubtful he would have been able to do anything on the same scale elsewhere in Europe. oh and the Brits.... well they're the brits... yeah, i'm a cranky 'oul fucker. deal with it.

Looks like a normal guy. You see people like him every day, everywhere, and think nothing of it. The sad truth is, anybody can snap like he did. Found on Digg: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2007/0417071vtech1.htmlA play written by the gunman. Bike wrote:I like to make werewolf movies.

Bullshit. In 2002, a youth did the same thing in Erfurt, Germany. He walked into a school and killed 16 people before killing himself. In 1996, a guy in Dunblane, Scotland walked into a school and killed 16 students and a teacher before killing himself. Finally (abit in Asia), a Japanese guy went on a stabbing spree in 2001 killing 8 children. I don't know much about Scotland, but both Germany and Japan have very strict policies on gun control. It can happen anywhere just as easily so shut it with the Eurocentric American-Cowboy comments. Its a global problem, not just ours. get your ass to mars

They probably sent him to a phyc because they needed to help him cope with the news of failing a simple class.

On another note, the Westboro Baptist Church, responsible for such colorful protests as: and plan on preaching their twisted message at Virginia Tech. Every effort needs to be taken to keep these sick fucks away from the friends and families of those affected by yesterday's tragedy. Bike wrote:I like to make werewolf movies.

What's wrong with the world? Innocent college kids get gunned down while hate-preaching biggots get to exercise their freedom of speech at their funerals. Bike wrote:I like to make werewolf movies.

Are you drunk? You are blaming domestic problems in other countries on US foreign policy. You are completely way off target on this one. Agreed, we did rebuild both Japan and Germany following WWII, but their domestic policy on gun control is completely different than ours. Concurrently it is of their own doing. My point is this, they are far more strict than we are and yet the same thing happened there. You seriously need to think about what you say before saying it. Even with your comments considered about us having a hand in their reconstruction, this still does not explain Scotland and it certainly does not explain the events in counties I did not mention. For example: the massive shooting in Tasmania in 1996, the Beslan massacre in 2004, the shootings in Montreal last year, the hostage situation in the Philippines last month, Etc. Before you respond, you need to first understand my point. It happens everywhere not just the US and not because of US foreign policy. All the countries have different levels of gun control from strict to not strict and yet it still happens. I've spent my entire college career studying Europe and part of it living there. I know what you're saying isn't your own opinion, but that of Europeans on the whole and its an uneducated, bullshit position to take. I know the trend right now is to hate America but that doesn't mean you should throw rationality out the window with the rest of them. get your ass to mars
