Saw it today at the matinee. Paid $6.50. Should have waited until it made its way to the cheapie theater where all seats are $3. Regency Theaters had a noticed posted warning that it was filmed from the perspective of a hand-held video camera and that if you are prone to motion sickness, you shouldn't watch the movie. So, I counted at least a dozen shameless product placements. You all know people die, however if your spouse died, you would be bummed out more than these characters were. Also, who the fuck flies a chopper below 500 feet when the object is to get away? And yes, lots of shots reminiscent of the 9/11 footage. No explanation of why the monster shows up - backstory should be included in the movie, not the internets. It wasn't a tactical nuke. They say so just before the group is let back outside. Anyway, it would have been worth the $3 when it got to the cheapie theater. I don't think it was worth the $6.50 matinee price. It was basically The Blair Witch Project meets Godzilla and a gratuitous miniaturized Starship Troopers ant-monster with an Aliens attack effect. So, there really is no story.
